Scolari dryers move products using a special perforated, movable conveyor belt made of steel or plastic.
The Scolari Series T conveyor dryers are designed with varying capacities to meet diverse customer needs, such as the thermal capacity and temperature of the heat source, and the physical and chemical properties of the products to be dried. To accommodate these variables, the drying floors can feature different surface areas, various materials for the conveyor belt, different perforation sizes, and a range of drying technologies or their combinations.
Additionally, the dryers can be equipped with several drying conveyors (1, 2, or 3 levels) to enable heat recovery and recirculation, thus minimizing fuel consumption. This is especially beneficial for products that can be dried at high temperatures (for example, 100°C and above).
Thanks to their compact design and low height, Scolari dryers are extremely easy to install, whether outdoors or inside your existing facilities.

Product Feeder and Hot Air Temperature
The product is supplied through a special feeder that evenly distributes a layer of the product at a specified thickness across the entire width of the conveyor belt. Given the variety of products dried by Scolari, multiple types of feeders are available to suit different needs.
Scolari dryers can operate with air temperatures as low as 35°C. The maximum operating temperature generally ranges up to 140-150°C, as most typical products may degrade in quality at higher temperatures. However, higher temperatures are also available.
Steel
Depending on the operating conditions, the Scolari dryer is available in different versions:
- Galvanized steel for general operations. This configuration is used for non-aggressive products that are not intended for human consumption.
- Parts in contact with the products are made of stainless steel, while other parts are made of galvanized steel. This configuration is typically used for non-aggressive materials intended for human consumption (food).
- The entire dryer is made of stainless steel. This design is strongly recommended for aggressive environments (e.g., chicken manure, fertilizers, etc.) and can also be used by customers who wish to extend the lifecycle of their dryers.
Fire Safety
The Scolari dryers are equipped with an integrated fire prevention system, featuring temperature sensors that continuously monitor the temperatures of hot air and exhaust air. In the event of fire detection, the dryer will automatically shut down and send an alarm signal to the operator.
Additionally, the dryer can be fitted with a fire extinguishing system that releases water into the drying chamber.
For even greater safety, more sophisticated options like spark and fire detectors are also available.
Dust and Odor Elimination
Some products may release significant amounts of dust or odor during the drying process. To address these issues, Scolari Srl outfits its dryers with suitable dust suppression systems and scrubbers.
This approach ensures that dust levels remain within permissible limits set by your country/region, and prevents neighboring residents from being affected by unpleasant odors.
Any Fuels or Heat Sources
The Italian company Scolari can supply dryers with heat generators that utilize any type of fuel: natural gas, LPG, saturated steam, hot water, solid fuel (such as wood chips, pellets, firewood, straw, sawdust, etc.), diathermic oil, and others.
The drying process, including achieving the desired final moisture content, is fully automated and controlled through a user-friendly large color monitor.
