Design of Alvan Blanch Dryers
Alvan Blanch dryers are designed as a drying bed with a moving chain conveyor that advances the product from the loading side to the unloading side. As the product moves, it is blown with hot air and dried. At the end of the dryer, there is a cooling zone where the product is cooled with cold atmospheric air before unloading (The dryer can also be supplied without a cooling system to optimize investment costs, where the technology allows).
Additionally, as the product advances, mechanical stirrers can be activated. The task of the stirrers is to gently stir the product to eliminate compacted areas through which hot air passes poorly, as well as to ensure maximum uniform moisture of the product. Depending on the physical properties of the product and the length of the dryer, several stirrers can be installed.
At the beginning of the dryer, there is a conveyor for feeding the product, as well as a system that ensures its even distribution across the entire width of the drying bed. Moreover, this mechanism regulates the thickness of the product layer.
